Where will you be 5 years from today?

5 Year Plan
Did you set up your New Year’s goals for this year? Actually, anytime is a good time to set your goals for the current year. The trick is to make it fun. Sit back, close your eyes, and let yourself dream.

First You Must Dream
Dream about what you’d like to have, achieve, do, accomplish in the next year.

Imagine Yourself Living Your Dream
It’s important to imagine yourself with that new figure, new car, new house/apartment, working in a new job, in a new lifestyle – whatever it is you want. If you can see yourself in your mind’s eye in that dream, chances are better that you’ll get there.

Decide What You Want
Begin deciding on what you really want. Set a time frame for each goal, from 1 year up to 5 years.

Write Down Your Goals
Review what you have achieved up to now. If you’ve been wanting something, that has eluded you until now, write it down. Right now, write down at least 3 things you’d like to begin to achieve, do, accomplish.

I remember a study done on High School Students who, in their graduating year, were asked to write down what they wanted to accomplish in their lives. Not everyone bothered to do it. Twenty years later they were tracked down, and it was found, that only those who had taken the time to write out their goals actually achieved them. Writing does something to solidify them in your consciousness.

Take Time Each Day to Dream Your Goals
Think about what you can do to reach your goals. See yourself following the most direct path to achieving them. If you do this, you will be amazed at how easy it is to attain your goals. The brain starts searching for the best way to take you there. Synchronicities begin to happen to bring you into alignment with your most cherished desires.

Then spend a little time each day feeling good about them. I’m doing exactly that right now. I spend 15 minutes each day dreaming about what I want, and seeing myself doing it.

If you need a little help getting started on your meditation, I’ve found a wonderful CD by Esther & Jerry Hicks called: Getting Into The Vortex: Guided Meditations CD and User Guide

In Summary:
1. Dream your goals
2. Imagine yourself living each of those goals
3. Decide which ones you are ready to begin on right now.
4. Write them down and place them where you’ll see them everyday.
5. Take some time each day to dream about your goals.
